Members meet weekly for breakfast or lunch for the sole purpose of passing qualified referral to one another.

There are several different types of referral clubs such as BNI and Le Tip.

All kinds of businesses such as bankers, Real Estate professionals, financial planners, mortgage brokers, chiropractors currently belong to these types of clubs.  Before joining any referral club, you need to take into consideration your company's product line. If you are only working the selling of a franchise of your company and not building a customer base of satisfied customers, then a referral club probably isn't for you.

You have the choice of setting up your own club and selling memberships and after setting one up, help others do the same and selling them their own club.  I cannot recommend enough to just get started with a club one way or another. As a member you pay your monthly ($39) dues by check or credit card or a reduced annual membership fee of $369 if paying for the year in advance. There is a $50 charge for a setup fee as well.

To purchase a personal franchise in your own area the cost is approx. $600?  When you have your own personal franchise,  you collect 10% of the club fees generated and a 50% commission of a sale of a new franchise (club) and 10% of any club fees the franchise your help start.

They have breakfast AND lunch meetings available and they try to keep them under a hour an 15 minutes long.

Lunch starts at 11:45 and ends promptly at 1:00 PM. Breakfast starts at 7:15 and ends right at 8:30. They're all about business. No boring business reports or long lectures.

Their agendas are geared toward giving and receiving referrals. Their visitors usually comment on the upbeat structure and the amount of qualified referrals that are exchanged.

Once you have a home Club (Hub Club), you can visit other Gold Star Referral Clubs as much as you want as long as your industry is not already covered in that other Club. Your network opens to hundreds! The more members present, the more business that's passed. MEMBERS LOVE THIS! This is a BIG advantage.
The Gold Star Referral Club that you join is your Home Club, sometimes referred to as your Hub Club. Cross-Clubbing gives you the ability to visit and participate in as many of the other Gold Star Clubs without limit as long as your industry is not represented in the Club you're visiting.

What's the difference between a LEAD, TIP and a REFERRAL?

A good referral is not a TIP. The difference between a "tip" and a "referral" is that the person giving the referral has spoken to the customer about you and the customer is expecting your call. We pass REFERRALS!

Disadvantages: You have to be able to get out and network with small businesses to introduce them to the concept. Your ability to communicate with them I paramount. If you do not have a personality or the skill set to keep the meetings  on target and fun, you might find challenges in the long term.
