In Business Since: Japan: 1975 / United States: 1989 Comments: If you're looking for a solid product-driven company with a strong track record of success, a true international opportunity, and a very strong American market that is still largely unaware of the Nikken opportunity, then Nikken might be a good opportunity for you. Advantages: Stable company, Strong financially, international opportunity, unique products based on scientific research, manufactures its own products. Do a great job working with its business people developing them to have balance lives. Disadvantages: Breakaway compensation plan is a turn-off to many who have opted for the simpler unilevel compensation plans. Requires dedication and you have to be prepared to spend time on recruiting. You might not realize a profit for a while. If you are not prepared to spend a lot of time on this endeavor and wait for the profits to start coming in then this system is not going to work for you. Entities:

Online Training & Support: Available via corporate website with information on all aspects of the Nikken business opportunity, including products, corporate information, and the compensation plan. An online version of the monthly Nikken Family Magazine is also available for download. Field Training & Support: Excellent training via weekly distributor workshops held throught North America. Extensive advanced trainings are also available for those who who are serious in attaining higher levels of achievement. Motivational Support: Available online via corporate website, weekly meetings and trainings, the Nikken Family Magazine. One of the best motivational support in the industry includes an auto, home, and travel incentive program. Products/Services: A variety of health and wellness products including nutritional supplements, personal care, and rest and relaxation products, such as pillows, blankets, clothing, fashion accessories, as well all based on scientific research conducted by Nikken's R&D department. Nikken also manufacture their own products. Compensation Plan: A stairstep breakaway comp plan with 5-20% on the frontend, and 6% on up to 6 generations of silver distributors on the backend, which is better than the 5% or less that is typical of compensation plans from many breakaway companies. Although the Nikken comp plan is among the best of the breakaway plans, many have come to dislike the breakaway and have opted instead for the simplicity of the unilevel plans or the easy requirements and spillover promises(though not necessarily a good thing) of the binary. However, breakaway compensation plans are utilized by the largest and oldest MLM companies, are time-tested and proven to be very lucrative for those who truly work it as a business, and are perhaps preferred over the newest of the comp plans, which is the binary. And inherant in stairstep breakaways is the fact that if you have not yet achieved the breakaway level, which in Nikken's case is a silver distributor, you cannot receive an override on someone that has achieved the same position as you.
